The association between the two traces back to the 1998 opening of the original Nepenthes shop in SoHo. In the early days, Killian brought vital connections to the table. When a local shirt manufacturer was experiencing financial struggles, Killian introduced the factory to Suzuki, which led to the creation of the brand's first exclusive shirts and laid the groundwork for Suzuki's label, Engineered Garments.
